So yeah I got a free DA subscription for a week. Not that I'm ever gonna reap the benefits from it. I have no scanner or anything else to get my stuff up. Boo.

Yes, yes. It's May and the semester's coming to a close. I only got 2 finals this time, which is kinda weird. But then a few of those classes don't really require much studying anyway. And I got accepted into Salem State so now I can leave the evil that is community college.

Dopus Maximus (aka me) likes to put things off til the last minute. As a result, Anime Boston sold out of regular membership this year, i.e. can't go. Shucks. That ain't gonna stop me from making my costume, though. I'm just gonna wait until when Halloween comes up and use it then. Next year's gonna be a definite.

Since I already have 2 online journals, I think I should use this one as a rant space for progress on an upcoming cosplay project. After all this site is about creativity, right

Anyhoo, I'm planning on going to Anime Boston in the spring and doing the masqerade thingy. My character? Why Kenshin Himura, of course. So far I got the plans down and already got myself registered and approved. Now all I gotta do is get the materials and other crap together and register for the actual convention (I'm trying to make it a trip at the college I go to).
Checklist, in no particular order (x=completed):
1. plan x
2. register for masquerade x
3. register for convention
4. test out sewing machine
5. buy fabric
6. find or make a reverse blade sword (not gonna be easy)
7. plan out and practice performance
8. get the shoes
9. figure out makeup situation x
10. submit music
11. critique
12. masquerade
13. awards
14. review
